Small Group Outdoor Training for Adult Dogs (9 Months+)

We offer two ways to train with us, depending on what you need right now:

  • 4-Week Courses — a structured programme covering the foundations for real-life walks and everyday manners

  • Skills Clinics (1 hour) — focused, standalone sessions working on one specific skill (like loose lead walking)

Both options are taught outdoors in real-world settings, and both are capped at four dogs to keep the environment calm, safe, and productive.

4-Week Outdoor Courses

Want your dog to listen out on walks — not just in the kitchen?

Our 4-week small group courses are designed for dogs 9 months+ who need better manners, stronger focus, and reliable obedience around real distractions. With only four dogs per session, you’ll get the coaching and structure needed to make consistent progress.

What we work on

Courses cover the common challenges most owners face, including:

  • Loose lead walking

  • Recall around distractions

  • Jumping up

  • Overexcitement and poor impulse control

  • Reactivity to people and/or other dogs

  • Struggling to focus in busy environments

What to expect

Each session includes:

  • Practical exercises you can repeat at home

  • Real-time coaching and feedback

  • Training outdoors where distractions are real

  • Calm social learning — without chaos or overwhelm

Whether your dog needs a behaviour reset or you’re looking to fine-tune obedience, the course gives you a clear plan and consistent progress week to week.

Bonus: Welcome Pack

All new course members receive a Welcome Pack from our sponsors, including samples from Hoddy’s Premium Sustainable Dog Food plus local discounts with trusted dog services.

Skills Clinics

If you’d rather focus on one area without committing to a course, our Skills Clinics are standalone group sessions (also capped at four or five dogs) that go deeper on a single topic.

Examples include:

  • Loose lead walking

  • Recall troubleshooting

  • Calm greetings / jumping up

  • Focus around distractions

  • Reactivity foundations and spacing

  • Lead handling and engagement

Clinics are ideal if you want a focused boost, you’ve hit a sticking point, or you want extra support alongside your regular training.
